I wanted to bring up a title that I saw in Elle magazines this week “BIG thinking from SMART WOMEN” so it’s obviously in fashion right now but hasn’t it always been this way?

We have always been a powerful force but have not always had the ability (due to social constraints) to show this in such a public way. Now seems the time to be able to really feel empowered and go for it so there is nothing stopping you.

I do believe that we have been given a special gift by being here and we should use that to its full potential, not hide behind our fears and self-doubt.

If you have an idea in business and feel that this could help people you must be brave and share it with everyone you can, it is your duty to get out there and do it, help others and yourself, feel proud and strong about what you are doing.

Instead of saying “don’t be afraid” I will say acknowledge those things you are afraid of and tackle them one by one every day, do one thing that scares you EVERY DAY!

learn that new skill! find the answer, Google, read books, blogs, watch videos, go on courses.

There is so much to learn that enables us to achieve amazing things, by taking small steps every day towards the bigger picture you will be able to achieve this!

Beginning journey

I began this journey toward ‘Inspiring Creative Women’ just over a year ago, It started after following a few interior design bloggers and one of them talked about Amy Porterfield an online Marketer who specialises in podcasts. I had a quick listen to her and that was it I was hooked on this new path of business marketing.

Since then I have been absorbing as much as I can on the subject and its really turned things around. You might find that a bit odd due to the fact that I am a creative but marketing is still very creative and fascinating! I felt that this is something I should pass onto others as well as  my knowledge of running my own creative business.

It has opened up a whole new can of scary worms but I am going for it, I will put my head in that can of scary worms until I do not fear them anymore!

A guide to help you along the creative path

Have you heard of a book called ‘The Big Magic’ by Elizabeth Gilbert? If you have that’s great but if you haven’t you must try it, there is a great quote in the book that says

” There’s plenty of room in this vehicle for all of us, so make yourself at home but understand this: Creativity and I are the only ones who will be making any decisions along the way”

“Above all else my dear old familiar friend, you are absolutely forbidden to drive”

I love this quote it’s such a great way of putting it ‘Fear you can come along for the ride but you are not the driving force and you will not control me’

I started this to help you become a success and help you in this creative journey so any feedback would be fantastic.

I am also building a community over on our Facebook Group Inspired Creative Women Group so come over and join us, it would be great to get to know you more.

Best wishes
